Overview
The Design + Innovation Labs provide training to all students, faculty, and staff wishing to use our equipment. The Lab Orientation, Intro to Machine Tools, and Intro to Machining will give you a broad introduction to prototyping and what’s possible in our labs. To learn specific equipment, we also offer training that covers everything from Laser Cutting to TIG Welding. Use the links on the left to learn more about the types of training we offer.

Special Accommodations
We are committed to providing an accessible fabrication experience for all users. Through a collaborative process with faculty, staff, and students, reasonable accommodations are implemented to ensure equal access and opportunity for individuals with disabilities.
If you require special accommodations or have any questions regarding accessibility please contact us.
Individuals outside the College of Engineering
Any individual wishing to use our facilities but who does not meet the above criteria must have a College of Engineering faculty or staff member contact us and verify that the individual in question has a legitimate reason to be given access to the space (i.e. that they are in some way affiliated with the College of Engineering).
Students & Staff from departments outside of CoE may request an M-Pass, which grants access to most equipment at the Makerspace only (not TEAM Lab or other shops within Engineering Centers Building) for a 6-month period. You will be prompted to indicate the level of training you’d like.
